Job - 1st Assistant Director Required, May 17th 2025

An assistant director is being recruited to help film a rendition of Hamlet's Soliloquy by a group of No.6 users.

The details of the posting are below:

When - Saturday 17th May 2025 from 1-3pm.

Location - No.6 One Stop Shop, 22 Hill Street, Edinburgh, EH23JZ

Pay - £16/hour for 3 hours with lunch included (sandwich, drink and crisps)

The main duties of the assistant director include:

• Locking of set

• Looking after the needs of the cast and crew

• Assisting with on-set operations

The First Assistant Director serves as the backbone of any theatrical production. This individual collaborates closely with the director to ensure that the overall vision is not only achieved but enhanced. In Hamlet, the 1st AD must skilfully coordinate with both cast and crew while keeping the essence of the performance in focus.
